Monthly Momentum: Uplink’s October Recap
70,000 User Registrations!
Our CEO, Carlos Lei, hit the stage at the Avalanche Summit in Argentina to announce a major milestone in the Uplink ecosystem: we surpassed 40,000 user registrations within the first 2 weeks of our beta platform launch! This number and our community continues to grow exponentially, proving that globally, people want to expand global connectivity.
And, we closed out the end of October with a whopping 70,000 user registrations! Thank you Uplinkers for all you do to support the growth of the Uplink ecosystem.
Product Updates: Explorer, Dashboard, and Uplink App
Throughout the beta version launch of the explorer which contains our Coverage Map and Router Pre-registration, we also launched our portal Dashboard with our Points and Referrals program. Together with our team, the Uplinker community has been helping mold the Uplink platform into what they’d like decentralized connectivity to be.
While these products were well underway, our team was simultaneously building the Beta version of the Uplink App, awaiting App store approvals. We’re dotting our i’s and crossing our t’s with this launch, perfecting our application in the meantime so that our community can get started in validating their pre-registered routers already into the Uplink ecosystem and adding more network connections. We’re really excited for its launch and cannot wait to share the final result with the community. Stay tuned to our Discord for updates!
Community Events & Campaigns
Connect & Conquer Campaign
Our Connect & Conquer campaign launched with phases 1, 2, and 2.1 on Galxe and Zealy! As part of the Uplink Expedition, our community can complete quests to earn points, OATs, NFTs, and more while helping revolutionize connectivity.
Uplink in Buenos Aires
We launched the first in our series of on-the-ground Ambassador programs and events in Buenos Aires, Argentina in October. The following are the events that were Uplinker Ambassador-hosted and/or Uplin-sponsored along with our highlights from the Avalanche Summit in Buenos Aires 2024!
CryptoLaPlata Event
We kicked off October by connecting with the Crypto Community of La Plata, one of the largest crypto communities in Buenos Aires. Our ambassador, Andrés Daspett, also known as Finanzas con Droopy, presented on Uplink to attendees, sharing our vision for decentralized connectivity and handed out swag for attendees that signed up for the platform and pre-registered a router! CH3 Meetup
Cultura C3, one of the most influential crypto communities in Buenos Aires and LATAM, hosts monthly events and collaborates on major initiatives like Labitconf. We sponsored the October monthly gathering with our on-the-ground Uplinker Ambassador Nigromante and prominent community member attendees like Rootstock, Algorand and Avalanche.e
Crypster Club Event
We hosted an event at Crypster, a crypto café in the Puerto Madero neighborhood and a crypto hot spot, with the entire Uplink team. It was the first event where Carlos Lei and team got to meet the local community and present about what we’re building at Uplink prior to the Avalanche Summit. It was so great to see how quickly our BsAs community has grown and to meet and speak about the future of the internet with key leaders in our Uplink team.
AVAX Summit LATAM
In line with our mission to upgrade connectivity, Uplink was the Wi-Fi sponsor for all attendees at the AVAX Summit LATAM. On stage, Uplink CEO & Co-founder Carlos Lei, shared some exciting milestones, highlighting our tremendous surge in growth with 40,000 new user registrations just two weeks after launch!
GoGoPool x Uplink Blocktail Party
Our collaboration with GoGoPool brought the Avalanche community together after hours for an unforgettable night of networking, games, and celebration at the Blocktail Party. Sponsored by GoGoPool, Uplink, Cubist, Artifact Systems, and Blockpay, the evening offered a unique space for the Avalanche family to connect, unwind and grab an Uplinkerol Spritz!
