July marked Uplink’s launch into 2H 2025 by continuing the expansion of the Uplink ecosystem, pushing cutting-edge technical upgrades, and all with the support of a strong Uplinker community. As a leader in decentralized connectivity and Web3 infrastructure, Uplink introduced powerful new product features and contributed thought leadership to the industry. With anticipation building for the upcoming testnet launch, the Uplink ecosystem continues to grow rapidly—driven by innovation, global collaboration, and a mission to redefine how the world connects.

The Uplink Ecosystem 

Growth on the Uplink platform and within the ecosystem at large continues to surge: 

• The Uplink App reached another Milestone: As of the end of July, community members had registered just shy of 3 Million routers to the network.
• Sustained Growth: Throughout July, community members registered an average of 20,000 new routers per day, further strengthening the reach of the Uplink network and platform.

Tech & Product

While preparing for the testnet launch, building out our core platform for telecommunication remains the primary focus of the Uplink tech team while also improving the user experience. Here are a few highlights on what we rolled out throughout July:

• Faster Map Loading: Enhanced explorer map performance for quicker load times and more efficient presentation of network data.
  Enhanced Account Validation: Strengthened sign-up validation checks, making onboarding smoother and reducing friction for new users.
• New "Network Missions" Tab: Introduced a dedicated tab to easily access and manage missions within each network, streamlining participation in Uplink activities.
• Improved Surge Lifecycle Management: Delivered better control and visibility over surge states, leading to more predictable and reliable network performance. This is the first step in launching new Surge locations for the community and future partnerships (stay tuned).

Community Initiatives

Our highly engaged and growing Uplink community continues to be the epicenter of the Uplink ecosystem. July saw an exciting mix of community-related initiatives:

• Community NFT Series: We rewarded users with the first version in our much anticipated Community NFT series. These NFTs will serve as a token of appreciation to our community, and will be awarded for participation in community events and contributions to the Uplink ecosystem. 
• POV Contest: We chose and announced the 50 winners of our recent POV contest from a large pool of creative entries. A special video featuring the winners’ work will be released later this quarter.
• Monthly Discord AMA: July’s Discord AMA once again set participation records, highlighting the high levels of excitement and engagement within the community.

Uplink continues to expand its presence in the global telecom and Web3 landscapes:

• Uplink CEO Carlos Lei wrote a featured article for BroadbandBreakfast on the importance of building fail-safe DePIN connectivity solutions as a safeguard against the vulnerabilities of centralized infrastructure.
