May marked another milestone month for the rapidly expanding Uplink ecosystem, showcasing impressive momentum across technology development, user engagement, and community participation. From a surge in Uplink App downloads to major advancements in infrastructure and increased media visibility, the Uplink network continues to gain traction as a frontrunner in the decentralized physical infrastructure (DePIN) and blockchain connectivity space. With over 1.5 million routers registered and tens of thousands of users actively engaging with the platform daily, Uplink’s mission to democratize internet infrastructure is becoming a tangible reality.

The Uplink Ecosystem 

Throughout the Uplink platform and community, we saw continued high-growth: 

• The Uplink App surged past 70,000 downloads only two months post-launch, reflecting growing global interest in Uplink’s decentralized connectivity platform and demonstrating that by enabling any router to participate in the network, Uplink can encourage a larger community to become part of our decentralized ecosystem.
• We celebrated our 1.5 million registered routers milestone – and ended the month with 1.8 million – solidifying our footprint in the DePIN space.
• Strong Daily Engagement: Throughout May, the platform maintained an average of 25,000 routers added daily to the network, indicating robust and sustained user engagement.

Tech & Product

The Uplink tech team remains focused on optimizing performance and scaling capabilities in preparation for the upcoming testnet launch. We’ve also rolled out several backend, frontend, and identity updates to make the Uplink platform smoother, more reliable, and better integrated. Here’s a snapshot of what’s new:

• New API & Portal functionality.
• Upgrades to UI for the Explorer and the Uplink App.
• Full implementation of Surge functionality, the platform is now ready for our next Surge location.
• Upgraded database architecture to support enterprise-grade scalability.
• Continued performance tuning and bug fixes for the network and the Uplink App.
• Development of core testnet features in anticipation of broader network testing.
  

Community Initiatives

At the heart of Uplink is its vibrant, rapidly growing community. May saw a mix of interactive campaigns, games, and engagement initiatives:

• Galxe Quest Collaboration with GAIB: Two campaigns garnered nearly 8,500 participants, boosting visibility and engagement within the Web3 community.
• May Discord AMA: Uplink’s May AMA broke participation records, showing a deepening interest in our mission and roadmap.
• Weekly Reward-Based Games: Based on user feedback, we introduced weekly poker games, offering Uplink reward points to winners.
• Community NFT series: We announced our soon-to-launch Uplink Community NFT collection, which will celebrate and reward our most loyal contributors.
