April was a landmark month for Uplink. Momentum surged around our mobile app and router registration launch, propelling our ecosystem closer toward our mission of building a decentralized, blockchain-powered wireless network.

Uplink App Launch: Powering the Future of On-Chain Connectivity

The official release of the Uplink mobile app in late March has catalyzed growth across our ecosystem.

• App downloads: Since launch, more than 65,000 users have joined the Uplink App.
• Router registrations: As of the end of April, over one million routers registered to the Uplink network via the Uplink App
• Daily engagement: Users registered an average of more than 25,000 routers per day throughout the month.
• Total user base: between the app and web portal, Uplink now boasts over 250,000 users!
  

Tech & Product Updates

Our tech team transitioned the Uplink platform out of beta and launched the fully-integrated Uplink App, and has been working diligently to deliver a seamless user experience and enhance the network’s capabilities with input from the Uplink community.

• Expanded in-app functionality including the Explorer, daily points earnings, and more.
• Ongoing improvements to app performance and network infrastructure.
• Uplink was accepted into Avalanche’s grant program (see Uplink on the Retro9000).
• The outset of the platform’s next development phase: testnet, on-chain capabilities, and scanning
  

Community Initiatives

Community is at the heart of Uplink. This April, we scaled our presence through events and gamified campaigns:

• Uplink Spring Quest on Galxe: Phase one of our spring quest collection, which will offer points, Discord roles, and exclusive OATs as rewards, attracted 6,000+ participants. ‍
• Monthly Discord AMA: our April AMA attracted over 200 attendees.‍
• Weekly community games: we launched weekly game events to foster community bonding and engagement.
• Uplink Docs: to better understand our ecosystem, FAQs, and terminology across the platform we put together a cohesive guide to the Uplink ecosystem and our platforms. Check out the Uplink Docs for more information.

Uplink made waves in the blockchain and tech media scene:

• Carlos Lei, Uplink’s CEO, was interviewed at the New York Stock Exchange by The Business of Blockchain to discuss Uplink’s goal of decentralizing connectivity with blockchain and revolutionizing the future of the internet.
• Claudia Olah, Uplink’s CMO, featured on Avalanche Live to discuss how Uplink is redefining internet connectivity and how to register your router with the Uplink App, here.
