September marked a pivotal step for Uplink as it concluded the third quarter of 2025 with strong momentum. The Uplink ecosystem continued to expand, powered by breakthrough technical updates and the energy of a thriving Uplinker community. Solidifying its role as a leader in decentralized connectivity, DePIN innovation, and Web3 infrastructure, Uplink rolled out impactful new product features while contributing thought leadership to industry conversations. With anticipation building for the upcoming testnet launch, the Uplink ecosystem is accelerating faster than ever—driven by innovation, global collaboration, and a mission to transform the way the world connects.

The Uplink Ecosystem 

Momentum on the Uplink platform—and throughout the ecosystem—is stronger than ever:

• Uplink App downloads surged past 80,000.
• Total user registrations across all platforms approached 300,000.
• By the end of September, community members had registered more than 3.7 million routers to the Uplink Network.

Tech & Product

While preparing for the highly anticipated Uplink testnet launch, the tech team remained focused on strengthening the platform’s telecommunication infrastructure and improving the user experience. September brought several key updates:

• Enhanced Surge Functionality: New integrations now allow for the activation of simultaneous Surge regions - check out the Explorer for new surge areas near you!
• Platform Bug Fixes: Resolved multiple user-reported issues to ensure smoother platform performance.
• General Performance Improvements: System-wide upgrades designed to increase speed, stability, and user satisfaction.

These updates move Uplink closer to delivering a seamless and scalable infrastructure that empowers both individuals and enterprises to participate in the decentralized connectivity revolution.

Community Initiatives

The Uplink community remains the heart of the ecosystem, driving adoption, growth, and innovation. September featured a vibrant mix of community-driven initiatives that strengthened engagement and rewarded participation:

• Do-it-Yourself NFT Contest: we challenged the community to create Uplink-themed physical media and gave away NFTs to the creators of the 50 best entries.

• OG Giveaway: To recognize long-time supporters, we distributed 10% of the Uplink Community NFT, Desert Node (V1) supply to our most active community members dating back to 2024.
• Monthly Discord AMA: September’s AMA set new participation records, highlighting the TGE update, new product our team is working on, and Uplink’s partnerships and opportunities attributing directly to the Uplinker community.
• New Surge Locations: We expanded Surge to Korea and Japan alongside our GEODNET partnership, offering members in these regions a 10x points multiplier for registering routers, with referral rewards available worldwide.
• Free ($700) DePIN Hardware: We partnered with GEODNET in Japan and Korea that allows surge members in these regions with rooftop access to receive free hardware and start earning tokens once it's installed. Members simply need to have a registered router in one of the GEODNET Surge locations, rooftop access, and submit the form for either Korea or Japan to apply.  
• Galaxy Quest Collection with GEODNET: We co-hosted a series of Galxe quests to spearhead the GEODNET partnership, giving the members of both communities the opportunity to win GEODNET hardware, USDT, Uplink points, and Uplink Community NFTs.
